Ido Schoenberg, MD
Chairman & CEO
American Well Corporation
Ido serves as the Chairman and CEO of American Well Corporation and oversees the company's corporate strategy. Ido has a lengthy track record of successfully leading technology companies in the healthcare field. In 1996, together with Phyllis Gotlib, he co-founded iMDSoft, a provider of enterprise software that automates hospital critical care units. He grew the company into a market leader with a large multi-national install base in the U.S., Europe, and East Asia. In 2001, Ido joined CareKey Inc. as Chief Executive Officer and took the company through its acquisition by the TriZetto group. Ido served as TriZetto's Chief Business Strategy Officer until his departure in the summer of 2006. Ido continues to serve as the chairman of iMDSoft's scientific advisory board. Ido received his MD from the Sackler School of Medicine.

Roy Schoenberg, MD, MPH
President & CEO
American Well Systems
Roy serves as American Well Systems' CEO and is the inventor of the American Well™ concept. Today, Roy directs the company's product development as well as the rest of the company's Operations divisions. Prior to founding American Well, Roy was the inventor and founder of CareKey Inc., a software vendor offering electronic health management systems. Roy led CareKey through product development, market introduction and the adoption of its web-based health management solutions by more than 35 Million users. Roy continued to serve as Senior Vice President and Chief Internet Solutions Officer at TriZetto, following its acquisition of CareKey in December 2005. Roy is the author of numerous publications, talks and books in the area of Medical Informatics, many of which he published during his work at the Center for Clinical Computing at Harvard's Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. Roy holds an MD from the Hebrew University Medical School and an MPH in Healthcare Management from Harvard University.
Jim Malone
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Jim is responsible for all aspects of the company's financial strategy, and finance and accounting functions. With more than 35 years of financial leadership experience, Jim has held the CFO position at several global healthcare companies. Prior to American Well, Jim was the CFO at Misys plc., (FTSE: MSY.L), a global software and solutions company; CFO at The TriZetto Group, the leader in information technology for the health insurance payer community, while it was publically traded on the NASDAQ; and CFO and CAO at IMS Health, a leading healthcare and pharmaceutical information provider, while it was publically traded on the NYSE. A certified public accountant (CPA), Jim received a B.S. degree in accounting from St. Francis College and attended Pace University for graduate work in tax.

Danielle Russella
Executive Vice President, Customer Solutions
Danielle is responsible for overseeing all facets of the customer experience, including all client product and services revenue, client relations, partnership development and collaboration, and account development and strategy. For more than five years prior, Danielle was Executive Vice President of Client Solutions for MEDecision, a collaborative care management software company providing software, services and clinical content to healthcare payers. Prior to MEDecision, Danielle was with Hewlett-Packard (HP), where she held various senior-level positions in HP’s Middleware software division, including serving as GM for ISV/OEM Solution Sales for the Americas and Worldwide, and as Vice President of Worldwide Sales Operations for Bluestone Software (which was acquired by HP). Prior to HP, Danielle served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Momentum Systems. Prior to her 19-year software career, Danielle spent several years as an investment banker. Danielle received a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Drexel University.
Matt Francis
Senior Vice President, Payer and Provider Solutions
Matt oversees the company’s sales activity to the health insurance market. Prior to American Well, Matt spent eight years at The TriZetto Group where he served as Vice President of Sales, responsible for managing major accounts such as WellPoint and United HealthCare, among others, and was a member of TriZettos’ Chairman’s Club for Outstanding Performance. Prior to TriZetto, Matt held management positions at Oracle, where he managed major National Payer and Provider customer accounts, and HealthNet of Arizona. Matt has extensive experience in and intimate knowledge of the healthcare industry, with nearly 25 years of direct health plan payer and healthcare IT experience in sales and sales management. Matt received a Bachelor of Science degree with emphasis in Business Management and Marketing from Loyola Marymount University.
Noël Obourn
Senior Vice President, Employer Solutions
Noël serves as the leader of the newly formed Employer vertical, overseeing all aspects of the company’s growth and performance in this area. Noël brings over 20 years of recognized leadership in healthcare. Prior to joining American Well, she served in a variety of leadership capacities in the country’s largest insurance companies and providers, including leadership roles at Aetna, United Healthcare, Cigna and Walgreens. In each of these posts, she successfully built and redesigned teams which delivered unparalleled performance. Additionally, a proven entrepreneur, she spent several years building and leading new organizations at high tech healthcare growth companies, including Revolution Health and Extend Health. She serves as an advisor to several industry organizations and is a frequent speaker regarding healthcare innovation. Noël earned her B.A. from Northwestern University.
Elif K. Eracar
Vice President, Product Management
Elif is responsible for product planning, design and requirements. She also manages training and support for the Customer Solutions, Marketing, and Professional Services teams. Before joining American Well, Elif served as Vice President of Delivery and Support Services at Voxware, where she led the professional services, application development, quality assurance and customer support teams through successful multi-national implementations with world-class organizations, including Target, TJX Companies, and 7-Eleven. Prior to Voxware, Elif was a Management Consultant for Camp, Dresser, & McKee, where she designed and implemented best practices for New Balance, Christmas Tree Shops, and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority. Elif holds a BS in Industrial Engineering and an MS in Information Systems from Northeastern University.
Jon Freshman
Vice President, Research & Development
Jon leads American Well’s Research and Development division, where he heads the company’s technology planning, architecture, and strategic implementation initiatives. With over 15 years of experience in enterprise software design and development, Jon has managed the development of critical software infrastructure for clients such as Dell, Fidelity, and Wal-Mart. Before joining American Well, Jon worked at BEZ Systems, where he provided leadership for BEZ’s integration of predictive database modeling tools with Oracle Enterprise Manager. Jon received a BS in Engineering from WPI, a MS in Computer Science from WPI, and an MS in Environmental Sciences from Tufts University.
Matthew Jarman
Vice President, Corporate Development
Matt leads American Well’s business development and strategic planning activities. Prior to American Well, Matt was a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). At BCG, he worked with industry leaders in health care, pharmaceuticals, and telecommunications to design new Web and electronic services, develop multi-disciplinary merger integration strategies, and create global information technology strategies. Before earning his MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, Matt was a submarine nuclear engineering officer in the U.S. Navy, where he designed and led complex, multi-organization workflows for the Navy’s first-ever strategic missile system conversion. Matt also holds a BA in computer science and an MS in electrical engineering from Northwestern University.
Omar Lyles
Vice President, Visual Design
Omar is responsible for all visual and creative aspects of company initiatives, from software user interfaces to branding and collateral. Prior to American Well, Omar served as Director of Application Design at TriZetto, where he established the graphic language for TriZetto CareAdvance Enterprise™ and guided the work of company designers to ensure visual quality and stylistic cohesion. Before joining TriZetto, Omar created visual and interactive designs for clients including PUMA, Genzyme, and Avid. Omar holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Design Studies from Harvard University.
Jason Medeiros
Vice President, Hosting
Jason is responsible for the operations and security of American Well’s Online Care platforms. Prior to American Well, Jason served as Director of SS7 & Intelligent Network Engineering at Boston Communications Group, Inc., where he led operations and engineering initiatives on national deployments for clients such as Verizon Wireless, Cingular, Nextel and others. Jason has 15 years of experience leading operations, engineering and critical situation management teams in high availability environments. Jason holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Brandeis University.
Joe Sawyer
Vice President, Marketing
Joe is responsible for American Well's corporate marketing functions, as well as its consumer marketing group, which brings Online Care to end users, consumers, and providers in close partnership with customers. Prior to American Well, Joe was responsible for industry business development for multiple strategic product lines at SAP. Joe joined SAP after several years at Accenture and Forrester Research, where he was one of the first analysts to shape the growth of consumer eCommerce. At Forrester, he authored several groundbreaking reports – including the first to predict the burst of the dot com bubble – and was regularly quoted in publications including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and Financial Times. Joe holds a BA summa cum laude from Bowdoin and a MBA from INSEAD in France and Singapore.
Michael Slepoy
Vice President, Quality Assurance
Michael is responsible for all aspects of American Well product quality, from functionality and performance to production systems certification. Before joining American Well, Michael created and led the QA best practices for Iperia, helping to build the company’s next generation messaging system. Prior to that, Michael spent six years managing quality assurance and system integration for Comverse Network Systems, with a focus on European and North American clients including Deutsche Telekom, AT&T Wireless, T-Mobile, SBC and Sprint. Early in his career, Michael worked for Tetra Electronics (Israel), where he architected and led the automated testing of microelectronic components for civilian and military communication devices. Michael holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and MS in Computer Systems, Complexes and Networks from Moscow State Technical University in Russia.
