Patients with ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease, often have an issue with mobility, so traveling long distances routinely for care is burdensome. To enhance the quality of life and care for ALS patients, Penn State Health, a multi-hospital health system in Pennsylvania, partnered with Amwell to build out its teleALS program.
